My story

My name is Pat Baker and my puppy’s name is Little Lady. On May 21st, while on vacation in Philadelphia, my puppy jumped out of my car while driving slowly through Valley Forge State park and broke her leg..

I saw an emergency vet in Philadelphia who put her in a temporary cast and said that it would require surgery and that I should expect a 100% recovery. 36 hours later, Monday morning I saw my vet, Dr Shpero ring leader with the Derby veterinarian associates LLC for my puppy’s 2nd rabies booster.  Unfortunately, I was EXTREMELY DEPRESSED at the time because of Lil Lady’s impending surgery at the central hospital for veterinarian medicine in North Haven, which was HIGHLY recommended to me by Dr. Shpero. He also told me to expect a full recovery as it’s a very common injury and puppies heal very well. What he didn’t tell me or ASK me was if I wanted my puppy INJECTED with coronavirus vaccine. The reason he didn’t ask me was that he knew that I’m anti-VAX and we’ve already had a few heated discussions about me being forced to wear a mask in his office at this time when nobody else is wearing masks anywhere. That is his prerogative but at the end of the day what ISN’T his option or his choice or his RIGHT is to inject my baby with a damn coronavirus vaccine without asking me 1st and getting written authorization, Period. WHICH I NEVER EVER WOULD HAVE GIVEN.

The very fact that this POMPOUS arrogant son of a BITCH feels he can do what he wants and then charge me for it in addition (W/O ASKING) and that’s supposed to be OK? That’s the current LAWS PEOPLE, OUR FOUR-LEGGED LOVED ONES (AND ALL OTHER PETS) are considered chattel-personal property.

So I begin communications with the central animal hospital and I was told by my vet that it would cost approximately $3500 when I get to the central animal hospital they told me it would be $5500 to $6700. This was at 10 AM they told me I had to pay all of it upfront and if I didn’t have the money there by 1 PM they wouldn’t do the surgery until next week. She actually told me they wouldn’t even book the surgery unless I gave them $2000 on the spot. So I paid her $2000 and I told her I would have $3500 in cash there by 1 PM (or we won’t operate till next week???) Which I felt was damn pushy but I made it happen, returned with cash in hand, and paid them. I made it a point that I speak with the vet that was going to be doing the surgery on my puppy BEFORE she goes in and though they didn’t want to at first, I was finally allowed to speak with the surgeon (a polite young lady) and we had a pretty candid discussion in which I asked her what should I expect as far as her recovery -should I expect 80% should I expect 90% is it possible to expect a 100%

She told me verbatim, “Mr. Baker, expect a 100% recovery she’ll be running around In six weeks. I’ll give you a call when it’s done in a few hours and you’ll be able to pick her up in the morning”. I felt much better walking out of the office. Unfortunately, that was short-lived as I received a phone call from her a short time later to let me know that oh that her leg was beyond repair all of a sudden and that the leg would have to be amputated. Obviously with her leg wide open with her bones cut down to nothing there was nothing left to repair, clearly understood by me, so there was no time for a second or 3rd opinion at that point. I was distraught and I was out of options.

They cut my little lady’s leg off And handed me a refund of $340 even though an amputation cost $1500. I told them I wanted half my money back since they did much less than half the work and I also told the office manager that I wanted to speak to the owners -to any of them. I was amazed at what she told me, and this was verbatim “the owners do not speak to the clients they don’t deal with matters like this”.

Well, I guess that story has changed because after protesting for a few days their lawyer called me and offered me $2500. He said to pull down all my social media videos,  to stop protesting, and then sign a non-disclosure agreement. I told him the very 1st day that that would have sufficed the 1st day, but now that I’ve invested my time and money they’re gonna give me all my money back, $5500, or I’m gonna be there every day and it’s only gonna get bigger the media’s coming soon –yes soon, and a lot of people are behind me because just about everybody I’ve spoken to has gotten screwed by their veterinarian. Kind of funny I’ve been threatened by the HAMDEN POLICE DEPT, they said that the Attorney General is looking to file charges against me, then I was served with a restraining order saying that I can’t post videos on social media anymore until a hearing on July 5th and they think that’s gonna scare me off??? 🤣 They sent 2 Hamden cops first day, 2 patrol units and a State police 2nd day, and 1 Hamden cop on Tuesday, guess there’s no real crime to solve in Hamden, CT? I’ll be most days and Monday through Thurs until enough like-minded people are aware of the truth.

I’m an activist and a protester the only thing I need is my mouth, keyboard, energy, and desire. I don’t need violence I’ve never been violent with anybody and I find it rather hilarious that any judge looking at my history would misconstrue my actions for violence? That’s probably because I wasn’t speaking on my behalf yet. I will on July 5th, New Haven Court, the charges and the restraining order will be dropped and the central hospital veterinarian medicine will continue to pay with their reputation and lost business due to the TRUTH being shared. Sadly, they care about, and desire the Almighty DOLLAR, MUCH MORE than feeling, and caring for our loved pets or the suffering owners. If my tact offends anyone I apologize, I truly do. My means can be extreme at times, but NEVER VIOLENT. At the end of the day it’s about doing one thing: getting people’s ATTENTION on the problem and making sure and trying my best to get it remedied. For anyone that’s read this whole thing I appreciate your time and support if you disagree with what I’m doing I welcome your opinion your phone call your email or I’ll even have coffee with you. Can anyone that’s not afraid to come out to the front lines and picket and protest with me show you won’t take it either!!! OUR PETS WILL SOON BE HEARD!!!
